Our daily fantasy baseball hitter analysis had a two day break from action as I traveled from Atlanta to New York by car. I planned on posting articles on the road from a Starbucks or at night before going to sleep, but driving 15 hours and visiting family and friends along the way didn’t leave much free time. The good news is that I made it safely and have some solid picks for today’s games.

Miguel Montero (Catcher | Diamondbacks) – Montero is locked in. Over the past week Montero is 9 of 19 (.529 avg) with 1 double, 2 homeruns, and 5 RBIs. He’s also walked 5 times and was hit by a pitch 2 times,  while only striking out twice. Today, he’ll face the Dodgers Aaron Harang who he’s 7 of 14 against.

Paul Konerko (1B | White Sox) – It looks like Konerko’s power stroke has returned as he’s hit 3 homeruns over the past week. Konerko crushed the ball in the first couple months, but only had 3 homeruns in the entire month of June.  He’s faced Cole De Vries 6 times this year and has 5 hits including 2 homeruns.

Ian Kinsler and Elvis Andrus (MI | Rangers) – The Rangers’ middle infield has hit Ervin Santana well in the past. Kinsler is 19 of 49 (.388 avg) with 6 doubles, 1 triple, and 1 homerun. Andrus is 12 of 33 (.364 avg) lifetime against Santana. Kinsler and Andrus went 2 of 4 against Santana earlier this year.  

Albert Pujols (1B | Angels) – Pujols had a rough Saturday and Sunday going hitless in 7 at-bats, so he’ll be looking to start the week off with a bang tonight. He’ll face the Rangers’ Roy Oswalt who he’s 26 of 86 with 7 doubles, 5 homeruns, and 13 RBIs against lifetime. Oswalt has pitched well in his last two outings, but will have his hands full with the Angels offense at home tonight.

Jose Reyes (SS | Marlins) vs. Tommy Hanson: 6 of 15 with 3 doubles and 2 RBIs

Carlos Lee (1B | Marlins) vs. Tommy Hanson: 6 of 16 with 1 double and 2 RBIs

Alfonso Soriano (OF | Cubs) vs. Erik Bedard: 6 of 11 with 3 doubles, 1 homerun, and 3 RBIs

Corey Hart (OF | Brewers) vs. Bud Norris: 5 of 12 with 2 homeruns and 6 RBIs

Aramis Ramirez (3B | Brewers) vs. Bud Norris: 5 of 14 with 2 doubles, 2 homeruns, and 5 RBIs

Chris Young (OF | Diamondbacks) vs. Aaron Harang: 6 of 19 with 3 homeruns and 5 RBIs
