Daily Fantasy Baseball Hitter Analysis Sat/Sun 8-4-2012
Posted on Aug 4th, 2012 09:16 AM
If you’re reading this on Saturday or Sunday I’m probably just waking up with a killer hangover. If it’s Saturday I’ll be doing the same thing tomorrow. If it’s Sunday then I’m preparing myself for a 4 hour drive home to crash in my bed and catch up on all the baseball I missed the past few days. It’s my best friend’s bachelor party this weekend, so I’ll be far, far away from the computer all weekend long. I’m writing this a couple days in advance, so make sure you double check the starting pitchers to make sure there were no last minute changes.

Batter vs. Pitcher

Delmon Young (OF | Tigers) –The Tigers are waiting for Delmon Young to help carry the back half of their lineup and this weekend could be the spring board they’ve been waiting for. Young is 10 of 23 against Ubaldo Jiminez (Sat) and 5 of 11 against Derek Lowe (Sun).

Shin-Soo Choo (OF | Indians) – Fair warning: The last time I picked Choo in my daily hitter analysis he went hitless. I don’t see that happening this weekend though when he faces Doug Fister, who he’s 8 of 21 against with 2 homeruns, and Max Scherzer, who he’s 11 of 18 against with 1 homerun and 4 RBIs.

*Unfortunately all the starting pitchers for Sunday aren’t posted yet, so the BvP is a bit short for this week’s weekend analysis

Opposing Pitchers to Target - Saturday

Ricky Romero (TOR) | Will Smith (KC) | Ervin Santana (LAA) | Jeff Francis (COL) | Jeremy Hefner (NYM)

Opposing Pitchers to Target - Sunday

Nick Blackburn (MIN) | Luke Hochevar (KC) | Christian Friedrich (COL)
