There are a lot of young, inexperienced pitchers taking the mound today which usually translates into high scoring games around the league.  If you’re looking for some cheap value plays look for players hitting against Britton, Kluber, Lyles, and Raley. They’re not household names for a reason.

Ben Revere (OF | Twins) – The Twins’ 2007 first round draft pick is starting to make a name for himself in the majors. He has a 20 game hit streak and already has 4 multi-hit games in the month of August. He’s hitting second in the Twins batting order and has a favorable matchup tonight against the Indians Corey Kluber. His price has been rising steadily, but he is still a good value on a few of the daily fantasy sports sites.

Jordan Pacheco (3B | Rockies) – Pacheco is making himself comfortable in the heart of the Rockies lineup. Over the past week he’s 12 of 26 (.462 avg) with 7 doubles and 5 RBIs.  If he starts to turn a few of those doubles into homeruns he’ll return a ton of value on most of the sites in the near future.

Miguel Cabrera (3B | Tigers) – Miggy has homered in two straight games and has a favorable matchup tonight against the Yankees Phil Hughes. Cabrera is 7 of 17 (.412 avg) against Hughes with 1 double, 3 homeruns, and 6 RBIs. Miggy has hit 18 of his 28 homeruns at home this year. Get him in your lineups today!

Nelson Cruz (OF | Rangers) – Jon Lester has been rocked when pitching in Fenway this year and Cruz is 8 of 14 (.571 avg) lifetime against him. 4 of his 8 hits are for extra base hits (2 doubles, 1 triple, and 1 homerun). Cruz went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles yesterday…look for him to have a big series against the Red Sox.

Robinson Cano (2B | Yankees) vs. Rick Porcello: 6 of 13 with 1 double
