Daily Fantasy Baseball Hitter Analysis 4-8-2013 (By Patrick Smith): We're rolling out an updated format for today's daily fantasy baseball hitter breakdown. We're working on a process that helps us identify favorable matchups based on numerous factors including whether the batter is hitting at home or away (H/A), facing a left handed or right handed pitcher (L/R), and how the hitter has performed over the past 7 days.

Daily Fantasy Baseball Hitter Analysis 4-5-2013 (By Patrick Smith): There’s a mix of day and night games across the MLB today, so check you favorite daily fantasy sports site to see what time their contests start. I checked a few sites and it looks like there’s a mix of early and late start contests. The first pitch today is at 1:05 EST when the Yankees head to Detroit to face the Tigers in their home opener.

MLB Hitter Analysis Monday September 24th (By Patrick Smith): With less than two weeks left in the major league baseball regular season the playoff and wild card chases are starting to heat up. Big shout out to the Minnesota Twins for taking both games of the double header yesterday against the Tigers. The White Sox still have a 1 game lead despite losing their last five games. I doubt you’re reading this to hear about the AL Central playoff race though, so let’s get started on our daily baseball data analysis.

MLB Hitter Analysis Sunday September 23rd (By Patrick Smith): Today’s daily fantasy baseball hitter analysis is going to be short and sweet because I have to work on all my football lineups. Minnesota and Detroit are playing a double header today, so make sure you check starting lineups for both games. You should also double check which game counts in the contests on your favorite daily fantasy sports site today. Let’s go Twins!

Hitter Analysis Saturday September 22nd (By Patrick Smith): There’s a ton of daily fantasy baseball action across the sites in addition to daily fantasy college football on Daily Joust, Fantasy Feud, FanDuel, and DraftStreet. One of the ‘best’ matchups today is the Boston vs. Baltimore game where Aaron Cook and Randy Wolf are schedule to take the mound for their respective teams. The two have a combined 23 years pitching experience and will need to use all of it to keep the opposing teams off the scoreboard.

Hitter Analysis Friday September 21st (By Patrick Smith): The Nationals wrapped up a playoff berth last night ending a 79 year drought for the city of Washington D.C. They only have a 5.5 game lead on the Braves, so they’ll have to keep playing their stars regularly to ensure they clinch the division. The Nationals were the second team to clinch a playoff joining the Cincinnati Reds. The Giants are only a few days from locking up their invite and it could happen this weekend.

MLB Hitter Analysis Thursday September 20th (By Patrick Smith): There’s a nice mix of day and night games on today’s schedule to hold you over until the daily fantasy football contests kick off tonight. A lot of big names made today’s batter vs. pitcher picks including Ryan Braun, Mike Trout, and Andrew McCutchen.

Hitter Analysis Wednesday September 19th (By Patrick Smith): Mother Nature wreaked havoc on major league baseball last night as three games were postponed. It looks like the Yankees and Blue Jays will play a double header with the first game scheduled for 1:05 PM EST. The Nationals and Dodgers will play a double header too with the first game starting at 4:05 PM EST. I’m not sure if the daily fantasy sports sites will offer early contests.

Hitter Analysis Tuesday September 18th (By Patrick Smith): Football heads to the back burner and baseball takes center stage tonight as every team in major league baseball has a game on the schedule. There are a lot of really bad starters throwing tonight (see the opposing pitchers to target section at the bottom of the article), so try to find good value at SP today and load up your offense.

Hitter Analysis Monday September 17th (By Patrick Smith): I’d like to thank the baseball gods for rescheduling the White Sox vs. Tigers game for this afternoon instead of tonight. Now I can follow the game without having to flip back and forth between Monday Night Football. Today’s MLB schedule features seven games (one afternoon and six night games). I’m not sure if all the daily fantasy sports sites will have afternoon games, but I’ll include them anyway.

Hitter Analysis Sunday September 16th (By Patrick Smith): Are you ready for some football? Oh wait, wrong article. Football might have the spotlight today, but there is still a ton of daily fantasy baseball action on all the daily fantasy sports sites! Let’s take a look at today’s batter versus pitcher matchups to find today’s value plays and must starts.

Hitter Analysis Saturday September 15th (By Patrick Smith): There are a couple pitchers making their starting pitcher debut today. In Chicago Jason Berken takes Jeff Samardzija’s spot in the rotation. Samardzija has been shut down for the rest of the season (Strasburg style). In Milwaukee Jenrry Mejia gets the start for the Mets. I saw Mejia pitch out of the bullpen a couple years ago in a Mets vs. Yankees subway series game. He threw really hard and I remember thinking he could be special in a couple years.

Hitter Analysis Friday September 14th (By Patrick Smith): Where did the time go? There are less than 3 weeks left in the baseball season before the 2012 MLB Playoffs start. I’m sure a lot of daily fantasy sports sites will offer baseball contests during the playoffs, but it won’t be the same with only fraction of the teams still playing. I’ll probably still play a couple contests if I like my teams, but the potential for player overlap is considerably higher. Hopefully my White Sox can fend off the Tigers and give me someone to root for. Speaking of the White Sox, one of my top plays today is…

Hitter Analysis Thursday September 13th (By Patrick Smith): Today’s Major League Baseball schedule features 9 games (2 day games and 7 night games). There are a couple great pitching matchups today including Brett Anderson vs. Jered Weaver and Justin Verlander vs. Chris Sale. Don’t worry though…there are still plenty of favorable hitter matchups in the other 7 games. Let’s take a look at the matchups to find some solid value plays.

Hitter Analysis Wednesday September 11th (By Patrick Smith): It could get really ugly tonight on the daily fantasy sports sites as Jeff Francis, Aaron Cook, and Ricky Romero all take the mound in hitter friendly ballparks. It will probably take a high score to take down the guaranteed prize pool contests, so look for value at the starting pitcher position and stock up on your offense.

Hitter Analysis Sunday September 9th (By Patrick Smith): The National Football League takes center stage today, but there’s still a lot of daily fantasy baseball left to be played. If you’re looking to play in any daily fantasy football freerolls we have you covered. If not, we still have you covered with our daily hitter and pitcher analysis. Let’s take a look at today’s batter vs. pitcher value plays and starting pitchers to target.

Hitter Analysis Saturday September 8th (By Patrick Smith): With less than a month left in the season and teams jockeying for playoff berths every game matters around the league. When building your daily fantasy baseball rosters over the upcoming weeks try to take players on teams still in the playoff mix. Every at-bat matters for them and their team, so you know they’ll be focused.

Hitter Analysis Friday September 7th (Patrick Smith): Today’s your last chance to win a seat in the Daily Joust King’s Crown Qualifier. The King’s Crown contest is a $12K, 12 person invite-only contest that will take place next Friday September 14th. First place in the King’s Crown contest will take home $5,000. The only way into the 12 person contest is the final $10 qualifier tonight, so get your lineups in!

Hitter Analysis Thursday September 6th (By Patrick Smith): There are only five games on the MLB schedule today including two afternoon games. If you’re looking to take a day off from daily fantasy baseball to recharge for an action packed weekend of football and baseball, then today is probably your best bet. The first game is scheduled for 12:10 PM EST this afternoon as the Braves host the Rockies. Looking out my office window it looks like it could rain, but they should be able to get the game in based on the forecast. On to today’s picks!

Hitter Analysis Wednesday September 5th (By Patrick Smith): The 2012 NFL season kicks off today and we posted a ton of material last night, so make sure you check it out as you get ready for this coming weekend’s daily fantasy football contests. There’s still a lot of daily fantasy baseball left, so let’s get right to today’s batter vs. pitcher picks. The left side of the Nationals infield gets my highest rating today.
