Daily Joust’s first ever All-Star Joust tournament featured a winner take all prize pool of $1,500 cash and two tickets to the MLB All-Star game in Kansas City. There were 78 entries in the contest on Friday June 22nd and it came down to the last game of the night as landsharks and chainsaul battled it out for first place. The contest ended in a tie, but landsharks won the tiebreaker because he had the highest scoring player on his roster (Ubaldo Jiminez).

The All-Star Joust was an invite only contest that you had to win your way into. Every day for the past five weeks Daily Joust had two qualifier tournaments that you had to win to get in. You could win a maximum of 3 entries to the All-Star Joust. The qualifier contests, the $1 entry “Page Thomas MLB Tournament” and $2 entry “Squire Williams Tournament”, were extremely popular and almost never had an overlay as Jousters tried to secure their entries into the All-Star Joust. We here at reUP Sports tried to get a couple entries, but didn’t finish higher than 3rd place. We’ll get them next time!

Landsharks had a well diversified lineup, compared to chainsaul’s Cardinals stack, led by his pitcher Ubaldo Jiminez who scored 27 points against the feeble Houston Astros offense. Landsharks also got solid performances out of Adrian Beltre (15 points) and Jason Kubel (14 points). He only had one player score in the red as Jason Kipnis seems to have cooled off after his torrid start to the season.

The All-Star Joust might be over, but Daily Joust’s Super Joust III is still going in full force. The Super Joust features a first place prize valued at $5,825 that includes two tickets to the World Series!
