July 6th’s FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Championship (DFBC) qualifier featured a large field of 1,776 entries. Friday’s qualifier was the 14th of 15 for the invite-only live, final event in Las Vegas on July 28, 2012. A total of $250,000 in cash prizes will be up for grabs, with the winner taking home the $100,000 first place prize. This coming Friday, July 13th, is the final DFBC qualifier. Mal_nlp won the week 14 qualifier with a high score of 70 points. Generalv was on mal_nlp’s heels the entire night and finished in a close 2nd place with 68.75 points. Generalv had two lineups in the Top 10 and is no stranger to the top of the leaderboard in the DFBC qualifiers. Don’t be surprised to see generalv’s name near the top again in the week 15 qualifier.

Mal_nlp won the week 14 qualifier with a New York Yankees stack. His leading scorer was his starting pitcher, Bronson Arroyo, who scored 22 points by pitching a complete game against the hapless San Diego Padre offense. The rest of his team featured NY Yankees, except for his catcher A.J. Pierzynski from the Chicago White Sox. The Yankee’s Mark Teixeira and Alex Rodriguez led his offense with 12.5 and 10.75 points respectively.
